Not sure about this?

You are welcome to come try a class for FREE during any one of our regularly scheduled classes and/or attend our FREE community workout offered every Saturday morning at 8:30 am. You can sign up for a class, or show up 15 minutes early to register.

How things run at GBAR3

A CrossFit class runs for one hour. Membership fees are paid monthly. There is no contract.

A typical CrossFit class runs like this:

  • General warm up followed by warm up specific to the workout
  • Coach led demo of the workout, movements, and scaling options
  • WOD
  • Clean up and put equipment away
  • AWOD (accessory core/skill development)
  • Cool down stretch

Attend our Elements class

Elements class completion is a requirement for joining CrossFit GBAR3. It’s also a great way to learn all about CrossFit.

The Elements class is offered every Saturday at 9:30 am for $20. This is for new folks, but any current GBAR3 member can come for a complimentary refresher. We also offer 1-on-1 Elements training by appointment for $50.

In the one and half hour class your coach will cover:

  • The evolution of CrossFit
  • The methodology of functional movement
  • Demonstrate the nine foundational movements, and
  • Show them in action with a short, fun workout

Sign up for Elements or arrive 15 minutes early to register.

World class fitness in 100 words

Eat meat and vegetables, nuts and seeds, some fruit, little starch and no sugar. Keep intake to levels that will support exercise but not body fat. Practice and train major lifts: deadlift, clean, squat, presses, C&J, and snatch. Similarly, master the basics of gymnastics: pull-ups, dips, rope climb, push-ups, sit-ups, presses to handstand, pirouettes, flips, splits, and holds. Bike, run, swim, row, etc, hard and fast. Five or six days per week mix these elements in as many combinations and patterns as creativity will allow. Routine is the enemy. Keep workouts short and intense. Regularly learn and play new sports. ~Greg Glassman
