What Is Fitness?
CrossFit recognizes 10 general physical skills that must be trained or practiced in order to be fit: cardiovascular/respiratory endurance, stamina, strength, flexibility, power, speed, coordination, agility, balance and accuracy. At CrossFit GBAR3 the focus of our programming is to improve your competence in all 10 of these areas so you can be successful performing daily tasks.
Cardiovascular and Respiratory Endurance
Cardiovascular endurance is the ability of your body’s systems to gather, process and deliver oxygen. The health of our hearts, lungs and blood vessels can make it easier for us do daily tasks, and improving cardio fitness may lessen risks from diseases such as diabetes or heart disease. Examples of cardio training in our workouts are running, rowing, biking and jump roping.
