CrossFit recognizes 10 general physical skills that must be trained or practiced in order to be fit: cardiovascular/respiratory endurance, stamina, strength, flexibility, power, speed, coordination, agility, balance and accuracy. At CrossFit GBAR3 the focus of our programming is to improve your competence in all 10 of these areas so you can be successful performing daily tasks.
Balance is the ability to control the placement of your body’s center of gravity. Maintaining good balance is essential for living a healthy life. You train balance at GBAR3 everyday without even knowing it. Bodyweight movements like running, air squats and pistols require proficiency with balance. When you add weight to the mix like with the front squat, overhead squat, snatch, or split jerk, you have to coordinate and balance not only your own weight but also the load lifted.
